Liquid Blu was the lead consultant for the redevelopment. The renewal program was funded through a $4.6 million Queensland Government grant.
Sitting alongside the heritage-listed 50m pool (the first Olympic standard pool to be constructed in regional Queensland) the new 25m indoor pool is fully PWD compliant.
Delivered within timing and budget constraints, the new facility also needed to be raised above the Q100 flood level as it was inundated by floodwater the previous year.
Serving a community of 15,000 people, the centre has been enormously popular with residents since opening.
