Liquid Blu was engaged to create a master plan for the facility, which involved extensive community consultation.
The result is a fully developed centre that has state of the art facilities for elite training, competition and recreational swimming, water polo and diving.
Another key feature of the renewal project was strengthening the connection between the centre and Rockhampton City Council’s new Riverside Walk project, a public parkway along the banks of the Fitzroy River.
